Jeff O'Shea is a franchise consultant with FranServe and the founder of Capital Franchise Consultants, based in Rexford, New York and working with clients across the country.
Before franchising, Jeff spent more than a decade in real estate as an investor, buying, selling, and brokering properties. When he started exploring franchise ownership for himself, he ran into the same wall most first-time buyers hit: search results dominated by household names carrying seven-figure price tags, with little sense of everything else that was available. A FranServe consultant walked him through the real landscape and it changed his direction. He became a franchisee himself with Property Management Inc., a natural fit for someone with his real estate background, and later joined FranServe as a consultant so he could offer that same clarity to other buyers.
Today Jeff works with people who are weighing business ownership, whether they are leaving a corporate career, adding a second income stream, or investing alongside other holdings. He starts with the person rather than the brand: what you want your days to look like, what you can invest, what skills you want to use, and what kind of risk fits your life. From there he narrows a field of hundreds of vetted brands down to a short list truly worth discussing with franchisors, and he stays with you through discovery, questions, and due diligence so the decision is one you can stand behind.
His practice rests on a simple observation: most buyers never see the full range of options open to them, and the right fit is often a brand they had never heard of. His job is to make sure you see it before you commit.
